Founded in 1951 by Braulio Alonso, the United Civic Organization of Tampa (UNICO) has been a vital force in supporting education and celebrating Tampa’s rich Cuban, Sicilian, and Spanish heritage. With over $300,000 in scholarships awarded to local students and vibrant fundraising events like the Jaibada Dinner and Bocce Tournament, UNICO continues to empower future generations while honoring its cultural roots.
